It Diagnostic functions is intended for driving resistive or inductive loads proportional load current sense with one side connected to ground. Active V pin CC high current sense precision for wide range voltage clamp protects the device against low currents energy spikes (see ISO7637 transient current sense disable compatibility table). This device integrates an thermal shutdown indication analog current sense which delivers a current very low current sense leakage proportional to the load current (according to a known ratio) when CS DIS is driven low or left Protection open. When CS DIS is driven high, the Undervoltage shut-down CURRENT SENSE pin is in a high impedance Overvoltage clamp condition. Output current limitation protects the package device in overload condition. In case of long Load current limitation overload duration, the device limits the dissipated power to safe level up to thermal shut-down Self limiting of fast thermal transients intervention. Thermal shut-down with automatic Protection against loss of ground and loss restart allows the device to recover normal of V cc operation as soon as fault condition disappears.
