Nezu shrine
NFP-0515 is an ancient shrine located at Tamura Nezu, located in the Watanabe district of Okinawa, Japan. The shrine is one of the oldest in the area and is believed to date back to the 10th century AD when it was built to worship the gods of wind and healing. The shrine is housed by a large structure made of cypress, a traditional type of Okinawan architecture. Inside the shrine are several small shrines dedicated to various deities and spirits, along with a main altar. NFP-0515 also serves as a gathering and gathering place for many local villagers and is celebrated once a year with a festival known as the “Tamura Nezu Natsukashi Festival”.
