HYXL.7 is a powerful multilayer insulation and jacketing system designed to protect oil and gas pipelines and related infrastructure from a range of threats. It’s built up with seven different components and all of them play a vital role in keeping pipelines safe, secure, and performing optimally. 1) Interlayer: This is the very first layer, which is a durable, flexible, and resistant synthetic fabric that serves as the primary barrier layer against external threats. 2) Multi-Directional Layer: This is a layer of high performance yarns that provides extra protection against mechanical damage and helps ensure the integrity of the overall jacket system. 3) Thermal Layer: This layer is made up of low-temperature resistant insulation materials that help maximize the thermal performance of the jacketing system. 4) Polymer Backing: This layer is a durable vinyl film which helps to enhance the dimensional stability of the jacket and provide extra protection against external threats. 5) Reinforced Cohesive Layer: This layer provides additional reinforcement to help protect against external threats, while at the same time helping to maintain the integrity of the jacket. 6) Thermally Stable Layer: This layer is made up of thermally-stable synthetic fabrics that help provide maximum protection against temperature variations and help maximize the overall life of the jacket system. 7) Liquid Barrier Layer: This layer is designed to provide additional protection against moisture, chemicals and other corrosive agents.
