The CD4040BE with Counter ICs 12 STAGE BINARY CNTR is a semiconductor integrated circuit (IC) manufactured by Texas Instruments. This IC is used as a 12-stage binary counter and consists of an on-chip oscillator and an internal 12-stage binary counter. The oscillator can continuously cycle through its low-power CMOS states at a frequency determined by the external resistor and capacitor values connected to the R and C pins. The 12-stages of the counter can be used in applications such as clock dividers, frequency dividers, period measurement, pulse width modulation (PWM) and other applications. The CD4040BE IC is available in a standard 14-pin dual in-line package (DIP) and has an access speed of 15 ns.
