The CD4521BE with Multipliers / Dividers 24Stage Freq Divider is an integrated circuit (IC) designed by Texas Instruments for use in frequency division applications. It is housed in a 16-pin dual in-line package (DIP), and offers two 8-stage dividers that can be cascaded for 24 stages of frequency division. The circuit provides divide-by-2, divide-by-4, divide-by-8 or divide-by-16 operation, and can be used for low-frequency clock or signal generation, clock stretching, or timing applications. It is rated for operation at 3V to 18V over the temperature range from -55 °C to +125 °C. The chip includes a buffer section to minimize cross-talk and skew between the two dividers.
