The LM2576HVT-12 is a switching voltage regulator from Texas Instruments' SIMPLE SWITCHER® product line, designed with a low component count for step-down power supply applications over a wide input voltage range of 4V to 60V and 3A output current. The device's design features that make it easy to apply include an input voltage feed-forward compensation and cycle-by-cycle current limit. It offers protections of overtemperature, overvoltage, and overcurrent conditions and discrete external shutdown control. The 5-TO-220 package provides an operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, making it suitable for automotive and other harsh environments.
