The LM317KCS is an adjustable 3-terminal positive voltage regulator from Texas Instruments. It can be used to provide a fixed output voltage over a range of 1.2 to 37 volts. It has a wide input voltage range up to 40 volts. It is capable of supplying up to 1.5 A output current with an output voltage accuracy of 1% over the entire temperature range of -40 degrees C to 125 degrees C. It also has thermal overload and short-circuit protection for added reliability. The LM317KCS is a common choice for general-purpose applications.
