The SN74HC377DWR with Flip Flops Octal w/Clock Enable is a device manufactured by Texas Instruments. It is a high-speed CMOS logic device with eight edge-triggered D-type flip-flops and a common clock and enable inputs. The SN74HC377DWR has two asynchronous inputs, which allow it to be used as a shift register. Each flip-flop has a data (D) input and a complement (D) input, outputs, and an asynchronous clear (CLR) input. The flip-flops are edge-triggered and it has a common Clock (CP) and anEnable (E) input. With both the Clock (CP) and Enable (E) high, the data at the D input is transferred to the Q output (data-in-Q-out). The CLEAR (CLR) input can be used to reset the flip-flops to a known state. This device is ideal for applications where faster operating speeds and lower power consumption are preferred.
