Additional Infomation About Product

The SN75ALS1178NSR is a dual differential line driver and receiver IC manufactured by Texas Instruments. This IC is used for balanced line applications such as RS-422, RS-485, multipoint data/control applications, and communication lines requiring high data rate and noise immunity. It is a small-sized IC with 28-Pin SOIC (small-outline integrated circuit) package. This allows the IC to be integrated into a small form factor design. The driver has 25 mA peak output currents and adjustable slew rates. It also has five selectable data rates up to 50 Mbps and ESDA protection against electrostatic discharge. The receiver has one input with three selectable thresholds. The IC is suitable for a wide variety of communication standards, including the Darlington interface, the bi-phase and Miller signals, the one-wire bus and the Manchester code.
