The TPS54140DGQ is a 3.5V-42V, 1.5A step-down SWIFT converter manufactured by Texas Instruments. This device utilizes advanced control techniques, including valley current mode control and adaptive on-time control, to ensure a wide input range of 3.5V-42V and output voltages down to 0.6V. It has low input and output voltage ripple, fast response time and a user-selectable fixed frequency, as well as low EMI. It also features integrated short-circuit protection, over-current protection and thermal shutdown. The device can operate in pulse-width modulation (PWM) mode or in a cyclic-reduction (CRM) mode, and is ideal for automotive, industrial and communications applications.
