Additional Infomation About Product

The UC2854BDW is a PFC (Power Factor Correction) Enhanced High Power Factor Preregulator manufactured by Texas Instruments. It is designed to provide high power factor and low total harmonic distortion (THD) with a minimum of external components. The UC2854BDW is drop in replacement for the UC387 and UC388 legacy devices, and offers several features not provided in the older devices. The main feature is a true universal input voltage range from 90VAC to 265VAC. This allows one device to tackle almost any universal line input without compromising performance, and minimizes the number of component changes needed for global applications. Additionally, the output voltage ripple can be adjusted using an external resistor divider for more stable system operation. Other features include overcurrent and overvoltage protection, a switchable dead-time control, and low startup currents. The UC2854BDW is an ideal choice for low-cost and high-efficiency designs in automotive, consumer, and other high power applications.
