Texas Instruments UCC28180DR is a Power Factor Correction (PFC) Controller intended for use in switched capacitor, continuous conduction mode AC-DC converters. This device provides near-unity power factor correction along with an active reverse power limit. It operates in Critical Conduction Mode (CRM) and features a soft-start function. The UCC28180 linearizes the power stage dynamics to operate with reduced switching losses, better efficiency, and increased robustness. It is available in an 8-pin plastic Dual-In-Line (DIP) package, and is suitable for use in a wide variety of AC-DC applications, including computer power supplies, smart home appliances, and motor controls.
