The TRC040-10 with PTC Resettable Fuses Through Hole,P=5.1mm RoHS is an electronic component manufactured by TLC. It is a qualifying safety protection device that is designed to protect circuits by limiting the surge current. It is capable of both overcurrent and overtemperature protection. The PTC Resettable Fuses operate by increasing its internal impedance (resistance) instead of blowing a fuse in order to prevent further damage to the circuit. The RoHS compliant TRC040-10 has a 5.1mm pitch and is suitable for a wide range of applications including communications, computers, consumer electronics and industrial equipment.
