The Toshiba TLP183(GB-TPL,E) Transistor Output Optocoupler is a high-performance optocoupler designed for use in high-speed circuits. It consists of an LED optically coupled to a phototransistor. The LED emits an infra-red light when an electrical signal is applied, which is then converted by the phototransistor into an output signal. The TLP183(GB-TPL,E) also features a high speed response time of 1.5 µs typical, high isolation voltage of 1.5 kVrms and high common mode transient immunity of 30 kV/µs. This optocoupler is designed to provide a reliable electrical isolation barrier between two circuits.
