The TLP184(SE) is an optically-coupled integrated circuit developed by Toshiba that is designed to detect, interface, and isolate two circuits while operating in high-speed switching environments. The device contains two optically-coupled elements, consisting of a photo-controlled switch collector output transistor, which has an electrically-insulated, light sensitive trigger point.
