The 5965 is a dual triode vacuum tube manufactured by Tung-Sol during the 1950s. It is an uprated version of the 5670 tube, with higher power dissipation and increased current and voltage ratings. The 5965 was designed for receivers, television and audio amplifiers, and other kinds of general use amplifiers. It features two identical sections, each with a maximum plate dissipation of 1.5W. The tube has a medium-mu, allowing it to provide distortion-free midband operation at relatively low plate voltages. The 5965 has a three-pin base. It was widely used in early low-power amplifiers and various applications within broadcast and communications systems.
