The Vishay SFH6156-2 is an infrared LED. It is an industry standard high power LED with a peak wavelength of 940 nm. It can be used in a variety of applications, such as in remote-control units for televisions or CD players, smoke detectors, touchscreens, and security systems. It has a high power output rating of 100mW, a forward voltage of 1.6V, and a low forward current of 20mA. The SFH6156-2 has a wide angle of radiation, and is small and lightweight, making it easy to mount and use.
