The Waveshare 5550 is a high-precision, low-power, low-noise GPS module. It is a complete GPS receiver, including a 50-channel GPS chipset and an RF front-end. It is designed to be used in generic applications, such as automotive navigation systems, marine navigation systems, asset tracking systems, portable navigation devices and more. The module features 14 concurrent tracking channels, advanced navigation solutions such as automatic track and speed detection, signal-tracking in weak signal conditions, and an advanced low-power mode. It also supports data communication protocols, such as GPS GPRS, NMEA and SBAS.
