Speakers Grilles, Front Panel Holders
, and Volume Control
Speakers grilles are mesh or perforated metal covers that are placed over the front of a speaker to protect the internal component parts from dust and dirt. Front panel holders are also used to protect the front of the speaker from accidental damage, such as jolts or drops. They help keep the front panel of the speaker in place, and also help absorb some of the sound waves. Volume control is the knob or button on the front of the speaker that allows you to adjust the level of sound coming from the speaker. It can be regulated from a low to a high setting, depending on the particular speaker.
