PC/104 is an industry-standard computer form factor that has a stackable bus architecture for embedded applications. The connectors are board-edge, high-density connectors that allow for a variety of add-on components and peripherals to be connected. The connectors are designed for temperature and vibration resistance, as well as long-term reliability. The standard uses two different connectors: the 100-pin PC/104 connector, and the 120-pin PC/104-Plus connector. The PC/104-Plus connector is a newer and improved version of the PC/104 connector. It enables the attachment of more add-on components through its 20 extra pins. Additionally, the PC/104-Plus connector includes a higher number of ground pins which improves noise immunity.
