RF Adapters - In Series

RF adapters are devices used to join together two pieces of cable or equipment in order to connect them together. They are available in different types and sizes to accommodate a variety of RF frequency ranges. They can be configured in either a parallel (two terminal) or series (three terminal) connection. When connected in series, RF adapters allow two distinct signals to pass between two separate cables. This means that multiple signals can be transmitted over a single cable by connecting several adapters in series. Each adapter adds its own attenuation (loss) to the signal, which can be compensated for by adjusting the signal amplitude or frequency. Series connections can also be used to create a voltage divider circuit, which can be used to reduce the voltage of a signal.
