MACOM RF Connector Accessories
RF Connector accessories are used to secure and couple RF connectors to cables, antennas, and other components in high performance RF (Radio Frequency) applications. Commonly used RF accessories include RF adapters, RF cable assemblies, RF grounding blocks, RF lightning arrestors, RF noise filters, RF power dividers, RF splitters, and RF terminations.
Adapters are used to convert between various sizes of RF connectors, allowing engineers and technicians to use the same connector for different cable sizes or connector types.
RF cable assemblies are often used to connect two devices, such as a receiver and antenna. They typically consist of a coax cable, with two or more RF connectors or adapters at either end.
RF grounding blocks are used to join together multiple cables with grounding-pins, ensuring the cables remain securely grounded.
RF lightning arrestors are connected to the outside of a housing and used to protect sensitive RF-components inside the housing against electrical discharges.
RF noise filters are used to filter out unwanted noise or interference, such as static and noise produced by electrical appliances. They come in many forms, such as low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, and more.
RF power dividers are used to separate output power between two or more outputs, so that all outputs share a common input source.
RF splitters are used to split an input signal into two or more output signals. They typically come in 4-way, 8-way, and 16-way configurations.
RF terminations are used to absorb and dissipate unwanted RF signals. They are designed to terminate an RF line, preventing energy from reflecting back into the system.
