A microprocessor, or MPU (or simply processor or central processor) is a small and highly integrated single-chip circuit that contains the core circuitry necessary to process data. It is a type of microcontroller, which is a computer chip with memory and input/output (I/O) peripherals, allowing it to control various types of devices and systems.
