SoC FPGA
A System-on-Chip Field-Programmable Gate Array (SoC FPGA) is an integrated circuit that integrates programmable logic components, a processor(s) and memory onto a single chip. It is designed to enable efficient, low cost and high performance programmability and ease of implementation of real-time applications such as embedded processor systems or communication applications. It combines reconfigurable logic, digital signal processing (DSP) and embedded memory together in a single package, allowing the designer to develop devices that can be rapidly customized for an application. It is an attractive alternative to traditional ASICs (Application Specific Integrated Circuits) or ASSPs (Application Specific Standard Products), as the development cycle is usually much shorter, design costs are reduced and high-recall is enabled.
