Industrial Motion & Position Sensors
Industrial motion and position sensors are devices that measure the position and/or motion of a mechanical object in a defined area. Movement may include displacement, velocity, acceleration, etc. It can also measure force, tension, pressure, flow, torque, etc. These sensors are used in a wide variety of industrial applications, such as robotics, automotive, and assembly line systems. They are used to sense the presence, distance, direction, speed, position and other parameters of moving objects. Some widely used industrial motion and position sensors include ultrasonic, inductive, magnetic, eddy current, linear variable differential transformer (LVDT) and hall-effect sensors. The purpose of these sensors is to detect and measure the motion and position of a target. This can be used to automate processes and provide feedback to controllers or machines so they can react in real-time.
