About Jumper Wires
Digilent Jumper Wires
Jumper wires, also known as jumper cables, are a type of electrical wire that connects two terminals to each other. They are commonly used in the development of electronic circuits, to connect circuits or components. Its core consists of stranded or solid-core wire, usually in sizes 22 AWG (SAE) or 24 AWG (American wire gauge). Depending on the application, the jumper wires can come with connectors such as banana plugs, alligator clips, or pin headers. It can be used to connect a power source, like a battery, to a circuit, to transfer data between components, or to bridge a gap between two points on a circuit board.
