Analog Devices Sensor Cables / Actuator Cables
Sensor cables and actuator cables enable the connection of various types of sensors and actuators (electromechanical devices) to transmit and receive information and signals from a control system. For example, a common use-case might be the connection of a door sensor to a security system. Sensor cables are used to connect a sensor to the control system, enabling it to detect changes in the environment (such as something moving past the sensor), and transmit this information to the control system for processing. Actuator cables are then used to connect an actuator to the control system, enabling the control system to send command and control signals back to the actuator in response. For example, if the door sensor detects movement, the control system could be programmed to activate the actuator connected with an actuator cable, triggering an alarm.
