USB (Universal Serial Bus) cables are used to connect devices to a computer. The cables are typically used to transfer data between devices, but can also be used for charging and for providing power. IEEE 1394 (also known as FireWire) is an alternative to USB that is used to connect devices to a computer. The cables are typically used to transfer data between devices, but they can also be used to provide power and to charge devices. Compared to USB, FireWire can transfer data at higher speeds, but due to its size it is not as commonly used in consumer electronics.
