Fibre Optic
Cable
Fiber optic cable is a type of cable containing one or more optical fibers. An optical fiber is a flexible strand of very small glass or plastic fibers that transmits light signals over long distances. Fiber optic cables use light to transmit data rather than electrical signals, allowing for the transmission of large amounts of data at high speeds. They are often used for long-distance and high-speed applications such as high-speed internet, cable television and telephone services. Fiber optic cables are also used in medical instruments such as endoscopes and laser scalpels, as well as in industrial applications such as seismic imaging, automotive automation and avionics.
