0.5C Accurate, 16-Bit Digital SPI Temperature Sensor Data Sheet ADT7310 FEATURES Thermal protection Industrial process control High performance Power system monitors Temperature accuracy Hand-held applications 0.5C from 40C to +105C (2.7 V to 3.6 V) 0.4C from 40C to +105C (3.0 V) GENERAL DESCRIPTION 16-bit temperature resolution: 0.0078C The ADT7310 is a high accuracy digital temperature sensor Fast first temperature conversion on power-up of 6 ms in a narrow SOIC package. It contains a band gap temperature Easy implementation reference and a 13-bit ADC to monitor and digitize the No temperature calibration/correction required by user temperature to a 0.0625C resolution. The ADC resolution, No linearity correction required by default, is set to 13 bits (0.0625 C). This can be changed Low power to 16 bits (0.0078 C) by setting Bit 7 in the configuration Power saving 1 sample per second (SPS) mode register (Register Address 0x01). 700 W typical at 3.3 V in normal mode 7 W typical at 3.3 V in shutdown mode The ADT7310 is guaranteed to operate over supply voltages from Wide operating ranges 2.7 V to 5.5 V. Operating at 3.3 V, the average supply current is Temperature range: 55C to +150C typically 210 A. The ADT7310 has a shutdown mode that Voltage range: 2.7 V to 5.5 V powers down the device and offers a shutdown current of Programmable interrupts typically 2 A. The ADT7310 is rated for operation over the Critical overtemperature interrupt 55C to +150C temperature range. Overtemperature/undertemperature interrupt SPI-compatible interface The CT pin is an open-drain output that becomes active when 8-lead narrow SOIC RoHS-compliant package the temperature exceeds a programmable critical temperature limit. The default critical temperature limit is 147C. The INT APPLICATIONS pin is also an open-drain output that becomes active when the Medical equipment temperature exceeds a programmable limit. The INT and CT Environmental control systems pins can operate in either comparator or interrupt mode.
