LT3072 Dual, Low Noise, 2.5A Programmable Output, 80mV Low Dropout Linear Regulator FEATURES DESCRIPTION n Dual, Independent 2.5A Outputs The LT 3072 is a low voltage, UltraFast transient n Dropout Voltage: 80mV response, dual channel linear regulator. The device n Low Output Noise: 12V (10Hz to 100kHz) supplies up to 2.5A per channel with a typical dropout RMS n Digitally Programmable V : 0.6V to 2.5V voltage of 80mV. A 0.1F reference bypass capacitor OUT n Output Tolerance: 1.25%/1.5% Over Load, Line and decreases output voltage noise to 12V . The wide RMS Temperature bandwidth and high PSRR permit the use of small ceramic n Analog Output Margining: 10% Range capacitors, saving bulk capacitance and cost. The LT3072 n Parallel Multiple Devices for Higher Current is ideal for high performance FPGAs, microprocessors n Programmable Precision Current Limit: 7% and sensitive RF communication supply applications. n Output Current Monitor: I = I /3000 MON OUT Independent output voltages are digitally selectable n High Frequency PSRR: 30dB at 1MHz in 50mV increments from 0.6V to 1.2V and in 100mV n Stable with Ceramic Output Capacitors (10F Minimum) increments from 1.2V to 2.5V. VIOC adaptively servos the buck n Temperature Monitor regulator to maintain the LT3072 input-to-output voltage n 36-Lead 4mm 7mm QFN Package differential to 300mV at maximum load and 450mV at light load, minimizing power dissipation with less input APPLICATIONS capacitance. Internal protection circuitry includes UVLO, OVLO, reverse-current protection, current limiting and n FPGA, DSP and Microprocessor Power Supplies thermal shutdown.
