LTC1153 Auto-Reset Electronic Circuit Breaker DESCRIPTIO FEATURES n Programmable Trip Delay: 15s to >100ms The LTC1153 electronic circuit breaker drives a low cost n N-channel MOSFET to interrupt power to a sensitive Programmable Trip Current: 1mA to >20A n electronic load in the event of an over-current condition. Programmbale Auto-Reset Time: 1ms to >10 sec. n 4.5V to 18V Supply Range The breaker remains tripped for a period of time set by an n external timing capacitor and then is automatically reset. Drives Low R N-Channel MOSFETs DS(ON) n This cycle continues until the over-current condition is Status Output Indicates Fault Condition n Thermal Trip with PTC Thermistor removed, protecting both the sensitive load and the n MOSFET switch. 8A I in Standby Mode Q n No External Charge Pump Capacitors The trip current, trip delay time and auto-reset period are n Available in 8-Pin SOIC programmable over a wide range to accommodate a variety of load impedances.
