MAX25540 Automotive 4-Output Display Power Solution Benefits and Features General Description High Integration The MAX25540 is a 4-channel power-management IC Complete Display Power Solution from designed to accommodate the main rails used in modern Automotive Battery automotive TFT displays. The IC supports the power One High-Voltage 2.1A Buck Converter (3.3V) requirement of GMSL parts. The MAX25540 and the One High-Voltage 100mA Low-I Linear Q MAX25530 TFT power supply and LED backlight driver Regulator (3.3V) combine to provide a two-chip solution to automotive dis- One Low-Voltage 1.6A Buck Converter (1V) play power supply requirements. One 175mA Low-Voltage Linear Regulator (1.8V) The MAX25540 integrates a high-voltage buck converter Power-Good Outputs that transforms battery voltages into a 3.3V intermediate Robust and Low EMI rail. In addition, a high-voltage, always-on, low-quiescent- Programmable Switching Frequency current linear regulator supplies power at 3.3V. Internal Spread-Spectrum Oscillator The low-voltage section consists of a fully-integrated Slew-Rate Controlled Switching DC/DC converter and an LDO running off the Thermal Shutdown Protection intermediate rail. The low-voltage DC/DC converter Supports the Power Requirement of GMSL Parts provides 1V, while the LDO produces 1.8V. Compact TQFN20 4mm x 4mm Package A single START control pin initiates the start-up AECQ100 Grade 2 sequence, thereby simplifying device control.
