MAX5236/MAX5237 19-2329 Rev 0 1/02 Single-Supply 3V/5V, Voltage-Output, Dual, Precision 10-Bit DACs General Description Features The MAX5236/MAX5237 precision, dual, voltage-out- Guaranteed 1/2LSB INL (max) put, 10-bit digital-to-analog converters (DACs) con- Low Supply Current sume only 360A from a single 5V (MAX5237) or 325A 325A (Normal Operation) from a single 3V (MAX5236) supply. These devices fea- ture output buffers that swing Rail-to-Rail . The internal 0.4A (Full Power-Down Mode) gain amplifiers (1.6384V/V) maximize the dynamic Single-Supply Operation range of the DAC output. 3V (MAX5236) The MAX5236/MAX5237 feature 13.5MHz a 3-wire seri- 5V (MAX5237) al interface compatible with SPI/QSPI/and Space-Saving 10-Pin MAX Package MICROWIRE. Each DAC input is organized as an input register followed by a DAC register. A 16-bit shift Output Buffers Swing Rail-to-Rail register loads data into the input registers. Input regis- Power-On Reset Clears Registers and DACs ters update the DAC registers independently or simulta- to Zero neously. In addition, programmable control bits allow power-down with 1k or 200k internal loads.
