ito SCP-PTC/B refers to the second of two Bluetooth Low Energy Protocols developed by Aparito to enable the secure transmission and retrieval of medical data from mobile devices. SCP-PTC/B is an extension of the original SCP-PTC protocol and enables the collection of metadata that is not possible with SCP-PTC. This data can range from location information to device usage metrics as well as accelerometer generated data that is used to measure activity and motion. SCP-PTC/B offers a highly secure and encrypted communication channel between the patient’s device and the Aparito server. In addition, SCP-PTC/B provides onboard encryption to protect data while in transit. All data is securely stored and processed on the central Aparito servers, ensuring that patient data is safe and secure. The protocol is standards-based and has been designed to meet the highest security and privacy standards such as HIPAA. It can also connect to multiple devices and provides a unified communication channel between the patient, the doctor, and caregivers.
