Multifuse
The 30-203-7 Multifuse from Bourns is an 80 V Surface Mount Resettable Polymeric Positive Temperature Coefficient (PPTC) device, commonly referred to as a polyfuse. It is designed as a current limiting device for use as overcurrent protection in various applications including power supplies, IT infrastructure, industrial applications, and consumer electronics. This polyfuse features an 8 Amp interrupt rating, which means that it will safely interrupt an 8 Amp overcurrent without the need for a heavy-duty fuse. The 30-203-7 polyfuse has an automatic reset, allowing it to automatically reset itself after an overcurrent event. The device is constructed using polymeric material, which offers superior thermal resistance and robustness over standard ceramic fuses. The package of this polyfuse measures just 2.3 mm x 1.3 mm, allowing it to be used in applications which require minimal space.
