CR5256 is a Power Distribution Switches SOP-8 RoHS manufactured by Chip-Rail. This chip is specifically designed to provide voltage control for a variety of system functions and can be used to connect and disconnect low-voltage, high-current DC circuits. With its high-efficiency power switching, the CR5256 is suitable for circuit protection of power management ICs, and it also provides ESD protection. The chip features a current limit of 16A, a built-in over-current protection, and an adjustable soft-start time with a maximum of 200µs. It also has a low power shutdown option and configurable standby, under-voltage protection, and over-voltage protection. Other features include thermal shutdown protection with external temperature match, temperature-dependent shutdown and re-start option, on-chip self-protection, and power fail detect features.
