WM8215 w 60MSPS 10-bit 3-Channel CCD Digitiser DESCRIPTION FEATURES 10-bit ADC The WM8215 is a 10-bit analogue front end/digitiser IC which processes and digitises the analogue output signals 60MSPS conversion rate from CCD sensors or Contact Image Sensors (CIS) at pixel Low power 400mW typical sample rates of up to 60MSPS. 3.3V single supply operation The device includes three analogue signal processing 3 channel operation channels each of which contains Reset Level Clamping, Correlated double sampling Correlated Double Sampling and Programmable Gain and Programmable gain (9-bit resolution) Offset adjust functions. The output from each of these Programmable offset adjust (8-bit resolution) channels is time multiplexed into a single high-speed 10-bit Flexible clamp timing Analogue to Digital Converter. The digital output data is available in 10-bit wide parallel format. Programmable clamp voltage Internally generated voltage references An internal 4-bit DAC is supplied for internal reference level 32-lead QFN package generation. This may be used to reference CIS signals, in non-CDS mode or to clamp CCD signals during Reset Level Serial control interface Clamping. An external reference level may also be supplied. ADC references are generated internally, ensuring optimum APPLICATIONS performance from the device. Digital Copiers Using an analogue supply voltage of 3.3V and a digital USB2.0 compatible scanners interface supply of 3.3V, the WM8215 typically only Multi-function peripherals consumes 400mW.
