The Duratool CTR-100-IT is a combination cable tester and remote device. It is a diagnostic and test instrument designed to diagnose and troubleshoot Ethernet and other communication cables that use unshielded twisted pair (UTP) and shielded twisted pair (STP) cable formats. This tester can be used to measure cable length, test for connectivity, and detect opens, shorts, mis-wires, split pairs, and reversals. It can display wire map, length, propagation delay, resistance, and other electrical measurements. The remote device uses data from the tester to create a virtual view of the cable under test, enabling users to easily identify cables, diagnose faults and repairs, and quickly generate length measurements and reports. The Duratool CTR-100-IT also supports PC setup and allows profiling and documenting of cable tests.
