The FM5100-T3 is a surface mount device (SMD) manufactured by Formosa, featuring Schottky barrier diodes (SBD) and operating in compliance with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive. It is a high performance switching diode with low power consumption and reverse breakdown voltage of 10/12 V. The device features fast switching speed of 25 ns, low forward voltage (Vf) of 0.6 V @ 5 A and low reverse leakage current (Irr) of 3 µA. It is suitable for a wide range of applications such as switching, rectification, and protection. It is particularly well-suited for use in high temperature environments and negative going voltage signals thanks to its higher reverse breakdown voltage than other diode technologies. The FM5100-T3 can also be used to replace legacy diodes such as 1N4148 and 1N4001.
