31855 is a type of Honeywell TrueZONE Compliant Zone Panel, used in zoning applications to control the comfort and efficiency of residential HVAC systems. It is used in conjunction with a programmable thermostat and communicating furnace/air handler to create precise temperature control in multiple zones of the home. The panel supports up to 8 wired dampers and 8 wireless dampers, and can control up to 8 stages of heating, 8 stages of cooling and 4 stages of fan. It can be used for up to 16 zones in a home (2 dampers per zone). It includes advanced system logic to accurately detect faults, monitor system health and automatically adjust for optimal performance. The panel provides easy-to-program buttons for setup and includes options for manual system balancing and multiple switching options. The panel supports compativle DC operated power open/close dampers and optional wired relays for “smart” operation to provide more precise comfort control.
