code
The RC-5 code is an digital encoding protocol designed by Philips Electronics. It is a type of bi-phase, half-duplex code that is used in remote control applications. It uses a carrier frequency of 36–56 kHz and has a pulse duration of 1.77 ms. The code is divided into two parts, with each part having 32 bits. The first 16 bits are ID bits, which identify the particular equipment the remote control is sending the signal to. The remaining 16 bits are used to transmit the actual command, such as volume up or down, on/off, etc.
