The INJOINIC IP2183 is a battery management System on Chip (SoC) packaged in a 8-pin plastic small outline package (SOP-8) and is lead (Pb)-free and fully compliant with RoHS standards. It integrates a buck/boost switching regulator, power management, thermal protection, and general-purpose subsystems into a single device. This allows for a single device to provide complete battery management solutions. The integrated buck regulator has a selectable range of 2.6V to 5.5V, and the boost regulator ranges from 0.7V to 6V. The IP2183 features a programmable current limit and transistor control, an internal adjustable reference voltage, and an adjustable output voltage. The power management system has built-in low-power sleep mode for minimal power consumption, while the thermal protection system ensures safe operation and charging. The general-purpose subsystems provide logic-level voltage bias, thermal alarm, and temperature monitoring. The device is designed for use in smart phones, tablets, multimedia players, and other consumer electronics.
