It consists of a battery management system, a buck-boost converter with built-in USB connector and a MOSFET switch with over temperature protection. The device provides real-time monitoring of battery voltage, current, temperature and temperature compensation, and can be configured to provide protection against short and over-charge conditions. The IP9315 has adjustable over voltage, under voltage, and over temperature cutoffs, as well as adjustable precharge and charge termination currents. It supports multiple chemistry types, such as LiFePO4, NiMH, Li-Ion, and Li-Polymer, as well as a wide variety of chargers. It also features over current protection and a low standby current (20 µA). The device is available in RoHS-compliant EP_150mil package and is lead-free and halogen-free.
