The A3960WV-14P is a low cost H-bridge motor drive IC designed to provide fully functional half-bridge and full-bridge motor drive solutions for brushed or brushless DC motors, as well as stepper motors. This IC offers high output current with adjustable current limit, overcurrent protection, under-voltage protection and thermal shutdown. It is optimized for driving bipolar stepper motors up to 14V, but can also be used to drive two DC motors in various configurations. To facilitate efficient control operations, the device includes a logic interface with decode logic, direction logic, and comparator inputs. The supply voltage range is from 4.5V to 16.5V and the output current limit is adjustable from 0.5A to 1.25A. The device is also RoHS compliant, making it suitable for automotive applications.
