The KEXIN AMS1117-5.0 is an SOT-223 RoHS package Low Dropout Regulator (LDO) with a fixed output voltage of 1.3V at 800mA. It has an operating supply voltage range of 2.2V to 18V and is capable of delivering a 5V output current of up to 800mA. Low Dropout Regulators are used for applications where a voltage regulator circuit is needed, but the output voltage needs to be reduced from the input level with minimal power dissipation. These LDOs are often used in power management, low noise analog circuits, and battery-operated devices.
