MLX90366 Triaxis Position Sensor IC Datasheet Description Features and Benefits The MLX90366 is a monolithic sensor IC sensitive Absolute Rotary & Linear Position Sensor IC to the flux density applied orthogonally and parallel to the IC surface. Hall Technology Simple Magnetic Design The MLX90366 is sensitive to the three Programmable Transfer Characteristic (Multi- components of the flux density applied to the IC Points Piece-Wise-Linear) (i.e. Bx, By and Bz). This allows the MLX90366 with the correct magnetic circuit to decode the SENT output (according to SAE J2716-2010) absolute position of any moving magnet (e.g. 12 bit Resolution - 10 bit Thermal Accuracy rotary position from 0 to 360 Degrees or linear On Board Diagnostics displacement, stroke). It enables the design of Over-Voltage Protection, under-Voltage novel generation of non-contacting position Detection sensors that are frequently required for both 48 bit ID Number option automotive and industrial applications. Automotive Temperature Range MLX90366 provides SENT Frames encoded AEC-Q100 Qualified according the Throttle sensor format or Secure Reliable NoPCB Module Integration Sensor format. The circuit delivers enhanced serial DMP-4 RoHS Compliant messages providing error codes, and user-defined values. Output Thermal Offset correction MLX90366 Position Sensor Assembly enables the realization of position sensor modules for which a PCB is no longer needed: this yield to an increase of the electrical, mechanical and environmental robustness of the final application.
