The 24AA00-I/P is an EEPROM Serial Memory device manufactured by Microchip. It is available in several densities ranging from 256 bits up to 32 Kbits. This non-volatile memory is ideal for numerous applications such as data logging, sensor calibration, identification and password protection. It operates on a single supply voltage of 1.7V to 5.5V with less than 10mA current consumption and supports both the I2C and SPI protocols. With the I2C protocol, it can be mounted as a slave device on the bus, while the SPI protocol provides 4-wire full-duplex communication between devices. The device is also equipped with lock bits to provide maximum data security.
