Microchip Technology's 24LC04B-E/P is an industrial-grade, 4-Kbit Serial Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EEPROM) that operates on a single 5V power supply. The device is designed to provide non-volatile storage of user data and to retain it even when the power is removed. Its internal Organization provides 16 pages of 16bytes each with a powerful write protection feature. It has 8-lead PDIP, SOIC and TSSOP packages, as well as a tiny 8-lead UDFN package, making it optimal for a wide range of space-constrained applications. The device does not have an on-chip write protect circuitry, but instead provides a high voltage WP pin for easy write protect control. It also has an Internal 100 kHz Oscillator, allowing for faster access. In addition, the device has a write protect verification feature and a self-timed write cycle.
