It features high data speeds up to 1000 Mbps, providing increased system performance. It supports 4-pin RGMII interface, providing great flexibility with reduced pin count. It is also backwards compatible with previous 10 / 100 Mbps implementations. It supports on-chip frame pre-processor and checksum engine to reduce external frame processing. It also supports link/activity LEDs for signaling the physical state of the system. Moreover, it provides low EMI, low power consumption, and a small package with BGA option for easy placement.
